Buhay Devcom: Top 5 Devcom student must-haves

Being a development communication student is very fun-filled and challenging at the same time so here is my take on the top 5 Devcom student survival kit and necessities:

1. MOBILE PHONE

Not only is phone a staple need everyone have but as a Devcom student this is a very vital tool that we must have. Starting from storing different applications and files to capturing raw images, recording audio, and getting live footages having a mobile phone is really gonna be a part of our whole Devcom journey.

2. PEN AND PAPER

After technology, let’s also put emphasis to the basics. A classic must-have of a Devcom student for me is always having pen and paper wherever he/she may go for we must be ready for sudden note-taking and ambush interviews that would really get us off guard that is why bringing a piece of paper and pen could be a life saver especially if phones are unavailable.

3. UMBRELLA

Walking and lounging around different parts of the campus to accomplish fieldwork, it is a general need not only as a student but as a Devcom student as well to always bring an umbrella wherever he/she may go. We don’t want to be burned by the sun or be drenched in the rain right?

4. WATER

Of course we are all just human beings to and to function efficiently whether writing an article or broadcasting we should always be hydrated! Since physical health should be the top priority for everyone, as a Devcom student we must always be fit and ready to take action.

5. CONFIDENCE

And lastly and most importantly, as development communicators we must start and wrap-up our day by being confident even when under pressure we need to have that sense of assertiveness and be the epitome of progress and change.

In conclusion, having all of this as a part of our Devcom life will surely help us to be flamboyant and triumphant in our Devcom journey!
