1st Data Gathering

It is easy for our group to gather data from Barangay Mayondon. We helped each other out to have a smooth retrieval of information. We share the task equally that made us meet the deadline.

The first thing we did was to plan out how we will execute the task. We agreed that we have to go to the barangay on August 30, since all of us have the same 2-hour break on that day. We decided to go right away to the barangay for us not to disturb their lunch break. We also looked for the directions of the place for us to save time.

The barangay quickly accommodated us when we politely asked for the information we needed. They directed us to Secretary Diozon’s office. She provided the data we wanted by giving a copy of the documents.

I learned a lot from that experience. These are some of my realizations:

Importance of teamwork

Believe when they say that teamwork makes a dream work. It is necessary to communicate with your group mates. Your team needs everyone’s cooperation to finish the assignment immediately. Everyone must contribute and participate for you to produce high-quality outputs.

Be prepared

Your team must be ready. You should have a plan on how you will conduct your data gathering. You must agree to where and when you will do your project. You need to assign a task for each one to weigh your project’s progress. If the activity requires you to go outside the campus, make sure to check the directions beforehand. Also, have a meeting place and be there on time.

Be polite

Always be professional. Respect and thank the people you work with and the ones who helped you with your project. You also need to comply with their schedules and policies. Always tactfully converse. Be considerate of their decisions and protect their privacy.
