Having tasked to obtain the first floor’s directory of names in the Municipal Hall, my group mates and I set out on a little journey to accomplish the given task. It may not have been easy, for we had a tad bit of a problem with regards to the gathering of data, but we were able to pick-up a few things from the experience that could help us – even you, later on.
Be prepared
Never enter a battlefield empty-handed. One thing you should never leave without is your ID and a letter, for it is common courtesy to provide one especially when approaching or consulting the people of the working class. Remember that you are not the only people they are willing to accommodate. Always consider the 'what-ifs' for it will help conserve your time and energy, in case something comes up.
Be Polite
Being polite does not only constitute to the age gap we have with certain people, but also the respect we have for them; may it be their profession or individuality as a whole. In that case, never forget your 'po' and 'opo'.
Be Engaging
Do not be shy! Confidence can take you anywhere in life. Never be afraid to ask for clarifications and questions, because nothing will be achieved if you keep holding back. Also, don't forget to smile!
