We just recently finished our exams in DEVC 10 and DEVC11. However, this was just the first exam. There are more exams to go! So here are five tips in surviving Devcom exams.
Develop a study plan. Once your professor set the date of examinations, make sure to remember the date. After that, develop your study plan. Everyone have different learning styles. Determine which learning style best fits you. In addition, make sure to create a study schedule. Assess yourself if you have to study a week before or just days before the examinations. This means that you have to manage and allocate your time well. Be prepared and don’t cram.
Memorize and Understand. You won’t be benefiting with just memorizing the concepts and definitions. Devcom exams have essay questions so make sure you grasp and understand what you memorize.
Take a break. If you feel tired, it’s okay to pause for a while and take break. Taking breaks will help you relax and focus afterwards. It can also test your retention of information. You can try recalling what you’ve studied after taking a short break to see if you’re progressing.
Make sure you’ve eaten before exams. Hunger can distract you during exams so eat well before taking the exam.
Leave all your worries. Before examinations, make sure to calm down. Don’t overthink and stress yourself too much. Get enough rest and sleep a night before the exams. Also, it is advisable to keep all worries behind after examinations. Once you finished your exams, don’t think about it too much. Just trust yourself while you wait for yourself.
If we weren’t able to ace the first exam, let’s recover and use these first experiences as a lesson and a basis for future exams. There are more exams coming. Good luck!
