It was that time of the year again when students must deal with a bunch of reflection papers, group reporting, quizzes and long examinations. Taking a break is okay, especially if everything already feels heavy. Here are five things that I do to de-stress and unwind:
Eat your comfort food.
Having a full stomach will surely give you energy to finish everything in your to-do list. Satisfy your cravings with food that you are thinking about for the past days. You may also eat out with your friends at your favorite food places.
Watch television series.
Cross out one of the series in your must-watch list. It is good to laugh and feel that ‘kilig’ while watching. However, do not stay up too late to finish the episodes.
Talk to your loved ones.
Sharing your thoughts and feelings to someone is effective to at least lessen the stress that you are feeling. It also feels good to talk with your mom even just on the phone for a minute or two. Also remember that your friends are there to cheer you up.
Sweat off.
Dancing is my favorite hobby, and every time I feel that my day is off, I dance. I just stand in front of the mirror, listen to upbeat music, and feel the vibe. You may also sweat off through walking or running around the park.
SLEEP IS ALL YOU NEED.
Well, for me, sleep is not for the weak. If I feel that everything is not falling into place, I sleep to recharge and forget the feeling of uneasiness at least even for a while. When you wake, just pat yourself on the back and say “Let’s get back to work!”
