Armed with his athletic skills, the College of Development Communication (CDC) College Secretary Edmund Centeno dominated the finals match of badminton singles, 2-0, against Reinier Gaspar in the 2019 CDCiklaban Sportsfest held at Baker Hall, University of the Philippines Los Baños on November 9 and 16.

Centeno beat Gaspar through a statement win of 21-7, 21-11 to finish the tournament with an unbeaten record.

Before going to the finals, both players need to sweep their opponents through a stepladder format, defeating three players each before qualifying in the battle for the gold.

Beauty and Brain: CDCiklaban 2019

The College of Development Communication aims to foster the holistic development of the students through engagement in physical activities, and pageants. As the CDCIKLABAN was held last November 9 and 16, 2019 at Baker Hall, not only sports got exciting. The search for Mr. and Ms. CDCIKLABAN 2019 was also on fire!

Eight contestants (freshmen and sophomores)competed gracefully for the crown and all of them proved that CDC students got beauty and more brains. The pageant was divided into parts mainly; production number, sports attire, casual wear, and the question and answer portion.

The results of the pageant were a combination of the student’s choice of candidates and the decision of the judges. The crown for Mr. and Ms. CDCIKLABAN 2019 was awarded to Rudy Parel and Kriszia Prologo.
